Bob Wickman is eating in atlanta

Bob Wickman will no longer give Cleveland fans heart attacks. The Indians traded him away to Atanta for catcher Maximilliano Ramirez (yes, his name is Maximilliano). Tribe fans, the fat fuck is gone. New closer will be Fausto Carmona, the 23 year old reliever who's promosing career as a potential 3rd pitcher has been backtracked (and why not). These are our Indians folks. There were 2 quotes from Shapiro that were interesting:
"We could have gotten a high-level Class AAA player from one team," said Shapiro. "We would have gotten players from Double A, but this was the player we wanted. Sometimes you have to go low to get a player with a high ceiling."
And this one: This trade won't help the Indians next year or the year after. General Manager Mark Shapiro said Ramirez, who will report to Class A Lake County, is still "far away."
What a great idea! Trade Wickman way before the trade deadline, giving the Indians no leverage whatsoever, for a catcher(see Victor Martinez, Kelly Shoppach) who is "years away". Makes sense to me.
